A drop-in tub is set into a deck or platform built around it, with only the rim visible above the deck surface. We start by removing the existing tub and surround material down to the framing. This exposes the plumbing, drain assembly, and subfloor so we can assess what condition everything is in before the new tub goes in. If there is water damage, mold, or deteriorated subfloor material from a slow leak, we address it at this stage. Once the framing and plumbing are confirmed to be in good condition, we set the new tub, connect the drain and supply lines, and verify everything functions properly before moving to the surround.
